The NV-MPG1-12 is a multi-purpose anti-vibration gasket for Noctua 120x25mm fans (see fan compatibility). that is ideal for placing a fan on top of A/V receivers, DVRs, video game consoles, stereo equipment, routers, home radiators or other devices that have ventilation holes on top and can benefit from extra airflow. Made from heat-proof silicone rubber, it efficiently prevents vibrations from being transmitted and, at the same time, seals the gap between the device and the fan, which reduces leak flows and thereby ensures optimum cooling performance regardless of whether the fan is placed to assist exhausting hot air or to blow cold air into the device. By introducing a 10mm offset between the fan and the device, the NV-MPG1-12 also reduces influx turbulence in exhaust applications, which can often yield a significant improvement in both airflow and acoustics. Thanks to the integrated mounting pins, fixing the gasket to compatible Noctua fans is a breeze. Additionally, Optional NA-FG1 fan grills can be installed if required.

Tight seal for maximum efficiency
The NV-MPG1 not only prevents the transmission of vibrations, but also acts as a gasket that creates a tighter seal between the fan and the device it’s placed on. Reducing leak flows between the fan and the device, the NV-MPG1 thereby ensures maximum ventilation efficiency.

Offset for optimal exhaust performance and acoustics
When a fan is placed on top of a device exhausting air, drawing air through the devices’ ventilation holes may create unpleasant turbulence noises and reduce the fan’s efficiency. By introducing a 10mm offset between the fan and the device, the NV-MPG1 can reduce influx turbulences significantly, thereby improving both airflow performance and running smoothness.

Anti-vibration design
Made from thick, soft silicone rubber and featuring a thin rib on the device side, which creates a smaller contact area and therefore further reduces the transmission of vibrations, the NV-MPG1 has been designed to suppress vibrations from the ground up.

Ideal for top exhaust applications
Thanks to the offset and seal that the NV-MPG1 creates, it is ideal for installing top exhaust fans on devices that have ventilation holes on the top side. Typical examples include computers, game consoles, amplifiers, receivers, DVRs and other audio/video equipment, but the NV-MPG1 can also be used to significantly increase the energy efficiency of wider home radiators by placing fans on top.

Easy installation
Thanks to the integrated mounting pins and lips, installing the NV-MPG1-12 on compatible Noctua 120mm fans such as the NF-A12x25, NF-F12 or NF-S12A, NF-P12 series is a breeze: Simply press the gasket onto the fan until the pins go through the mounting holes and the lip wraps around the corners of the fan. Done!

Can be combined with NV-MPP1 pads
The NV-MPG1 can be combined with the NV-MPP1 multi-purpose pads in order to be able to position the fan blowing sideways or to put it underneath devices that have ventilation holes at the bottom side, pushing fresh air in from below.

When it comes to installing fans anywhere in your home, office or other environments, the NV-MPG1 is an ideal match for use with Noctua’s USB-powered 5V PWM fans. Unlike many cheap USB fans, Noctua’s award-winning premium fans are built to last and come with a 6-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Compatible with fan grills
The NV-MPG1-12 has been designed with fan grills in mind: If your application requires extra protection, you can simply add a fan guard such as the Noctua NA-FG1-12 on top of the NV-MPG1-12 in order to make sure that the fan blades cannot be touched. The NV-MPG1-12 doesn’t even have to be removed for doing so.
